Successful and fun Celtic Festival is over… Learned something about the radio communications used on their 50 radios- these are leased Motorola radios using a systems called TETRA tech radio each ~
$400 & a Special License (not a Permit) for reliability & range & security and Repeaters–
My cheap (<$50 BRS and FRS radios (462 and 467 FM)
use a totally different set if frequencies and technologies! Still useful for “Premise Radio” such as around hotels campsite and offices…”Coding DTMF” can prevent some interference but cannot prevent eavesdropping..
